Located in Chicago, IL, Chitown Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine was founded by Dr. Edward Forman, a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, with 20 years of experience. Dr. Forman specializes in sports medicine, trauma care and reconstruction surgery.  He has particular expertise in treating injuries to hockey players at all levels, from children to the National Hockey league.

He performs arthroscopic shoulder repairs, knee ligament reconstruction and joint reconstruction, including partial and total knee replacements.  Dr. Forman is one of the Chicago area's leading practitioners of Unicondylar knee surgery, which is performed through a smaller incision than is used in a total knee replacement, reducing pain and speeding recovery times.

In providing care, Dr. Forman takes an individualized approach that treats the entire patient, not just the medical condition.  He explains the treatment in full detail beforehand and works with patients after surgery to encourage their participation in physical therapy.  His goal is for each patient to heal properly and return to 100 percent of their previous level of function.
